My father had a sable male called Bob and he was my constant companion until I turned 4 years old. My passion for the breed was developed and enhanced when, at the age of 13 years, I became involved with the Associated Sheep, Police and Army Dog Society (ASPADS) and later became an instructor for that organisation. I was also a steward for obedience competitions and commenced judging at club level prior to coming to live in Australia in 1959. Prior to retirement in 1994, I'd served many years as an obedience trials and Championship show judge, been involved in administrative positions in four dog clubs, two of which awarded me Life Membership, and supervised the training of many tracking dogs for Search and Rescue work.I'd also received a special award from the Queensland Police Force for my work with tracking dog Bruno. Jaimon has produced Champions, Breed Survey Class 1 animals, multi-Excellent graded dogs and bitches and over 30 dogs that have been awarded obedience titles, including Obedience Champions. Many of these dogs also had Tracking titles. Jaimon dogs have also served with Queensland Correctional Services and the RAAF. I am also very proud of all the Jaimon dogs that have gone into companion homes and given their owners many years of outstanding loyalty and devoted companionship. Whilst we are very serious about matters such as breed development, temperament, health issues, proper care & management etc., we also try to maintain a good sense of humour so I hope you enjoy some of our more quirky photos.
